The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited et Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd ont annoncé s’être associés dans le but de transformer le bâtiment historique de la Myanmar Railway Company en ce qui s’appellera The Peninsula Yangon, situé à Rangoun en Birmanie.
Cet hôtel viendra rejoindre le portfolio du groupe The Peninsula Hotels : The Peninsula Hong Kong, The Peninsula Shanghai, The Peninsula Beijing, The Peninsula Tokyo, The Peninsula New York, The Peninsula Chicago, The Peninsula Beverly Hills, The Peninsula Bangkok, The Peninsula Manila et The Peninsula Paris (ouverture prévue en 2014).
